Missal’s rozgaar programme is envisaged to provide assistance in availing livelihood to the community. The current rozgaar model primarily entails 6 months stitching training to the women of the community by a women trainer. Over the course of six months, in the rozgaar center, trainees were taught from basic to advance stitching.
Going forward Misaal is assisting the Rozgaar center’s pass out to form Self Help Groups. As of now with the support of Misaal, five Self-help groups had been formed in Uttar Pradesh. The group consists of 5-12 women each. These are Muzaffarnagar riot victims and currently staying in the Falah-e-aam colony in Shamli.
The objective of Rozgaar programme is to enable the sense of empowerment in the marginalized women of the community by assisting them in inculcating in basic skills to earn and save by the national project NRLM.
